Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is a mandatory environmental policy in India. It holds manufacturers, importers, and brand owners financially and physically responsible for the end-of-life collection and recycling of their electronic, battery, and plastic products.
Any business operating in India that manufactures, imports, or sells electronic equipment, batteries, plastics, or tyres under its own brand must register on the central portal as a PIBO (Producer, Importer, Brand Owner).
